LSU Swimming and Diving Set to Compete at SEC Championships
BATON ROUGE - The LSU Swimming and Diving team is set to compete at the Southeastern Conference Championships, set to take place in College Station, Texas, from February 15-18. The Tigers will look to build on their success from last season, where they finished sixth overall.
LSU is led by a talented group of swimmers and divers, including:
- Junior swimmer Jade Foelske, who is ranked among the top 10 in the country in the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke.
- Senior diver Tina Punzel, who is a two-time NCAA All-American and the defending SEC Champion in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events.
- Sophomore swimmer/diver Alexia Zevnik, who is ranked among the top 20 in the country in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events.
The Tigers will face a tough challenge at the SEC Championships, as the conference is home to some of the top swimming and diving programs in the country. However, LSU is confident that they can make a strong showing and compete for a spot in the top five.
The SEC Championships will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
