Virat Kohli Played Under My Captaincy, Says Tejashwi Yadav In Response To Prashant Kishor's '9th Fail' Remark
Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the opposition in Bihar, has taken a dig at poll strategist Prashant Kishor, who recently made a controversial remark about Yadav's educational qualifications.
Yadav, who is the younger brother of former Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, said that Kishor should not make personal attacks and should instead focus on issues.
“Prashant Kishor should not make personal attacks. He should focus on issues. I am a 9th fail but I have played cricket under the captaincy of Virat Kohli,” Yadav said in a statement.
Kishor, who was once a close aide of Nitish Kumar, had recently said that Yadav was a "9th fail" and was not qualified to be the chief minister of Bihar.
Yadav's response has been widely shared on social media, with many people praising him for his dignified response.
“Tejashwi Yadav has shown great maturity in his response to Prashant Kishor's attack. He has refused to be drawn into a personal mudslinging match and has instead focused on the issues,” said one social media user.
“Prashant Kishor should learn from Tejashwi Yadav and focus on issues instead of making personal attacks. It is clear that Yadav is a popular leader with a bright future,” said another social media user.
