Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving lead Nets to 143-114 rout of Bucks in Game 5, force Game 6

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving combined for 74 points to lead the Brooklyn Nets to a 143-114 win over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series on Tuesday night.

The win forces a Game 6 in Milwaukee on Thursday night. The Bucks still lead the series 3-2.

Durant led all scorers for the Nets with 32 points.

Irving added 22 points.

James Harden contributed 22 points and 10 assists.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 34 points followed by Khris Middleton with 25 points and Jrue Holiday with 19 points.

The Nets took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Bucks 38-23.

The Nets led by 17 points at halftime, and they extended their lead to 20 points in the third quarter.

The Bucks never cut the lead to less than 13 points in the fourth quarter.

The Nets shot 57.1% from the field, including 18-of-42 from three-point range.

The Bucks shot just 43.5% from the field, including 10-of-34 from three-point range.

The Nets outrebounded the Bucks 55-40.

The Nets dished out 32 assists to the Bucks' 23.

The Bucks have lost two straight games after winning the first three games of the series.

The Nets are now 3-2 in closeout games this postseason.

The Bucks will host the Nets in Game 6 on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. ET.
