Riders in Paris Can Now Use iPhone or Apple Watch to Pay for Public Transit

Passes Can Be Purchased Through Île-de-France Mobilités App or Directly from Apple Wallet

Riders in Paris can now use their iPhone or Apple Watch to pay for public transit, thanks to a new integration between Apple Wallet and the Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) app.

Previously, riders had to purchase physical Navigo travel passes from vending machines or authorized retailers. Now, they can simply buy passes through the IDFM iOS app or directly from Apple Wallet and use their iPhone or Apple Watch to tap and ride.

The new integration is part of a broader effort by IDFM to make public transit more convenient and accessible for riders. In addition to Apple Wallet, IDFM also offers a mobile ticketing app that allows riders to purchase and validate tickets using their smartphone.
