Manchester City Outclass Nottingham Forest 2-0
First-Half Goals Secure Six Wins from Six
Phil Foden and Erling Haaland on Target
Manchester City continued their perfect start to the Premier League season with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium. Goals from Phil Foden and Erling Haaland in the first half sealed the three points for the reigning champions.
City dominated possession throughout the game and took the lead after just 12 minutes. Foden received a pass from Kevin De Bruyne on the left and cut inside before firing a low shot into the bottom corner. Haaland doubled the advantage just seven minutes later, tapping in from close range after De Bruyne's cross was deflected into his path.
Forest, who were promoted to the Premier League this season, offered little threat to City's goal. They had just one shot on target all game, which was easily saved by Ederson. City, on the other hand, created a number of chances but were unable to extend their lead.
The result leaves City top of the Premier League table with a perfect record. They are now six points clear of second-placed Arsenal, who have played one game more.
